Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9: Ever since the last Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa got over last year, fans have been eagerly waiting for the next season. Now it has been officially announced that the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 9 is going to go on air from mid-June or early July. Though unannounced, names of several contestants have been doing the round everywhere. If rumours are to be believed then Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is going to become one of the judges of the dance reality show.
According to rumours, Adaa Khan who plays Sesha on ‘Naagin’ as well as Asha Negi and Surveen Chawla who had starred in ‘Hate Story 2’ have been approached to showcase their dancing skills on the show. According to an entertainment site, Tellychakkar, “The two actresses (Adaa and Surveen) have already been finalised for the season. The last minutes formalities are to be taken care of before a final announcement can be made.”
Some of the other rumoured Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 contestants are likely to be West Indies cricket team’s popular players Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo, Siddharth Nigam, Mandana Karimi, Shakti Arora, Karishma Tanna, Sonali Raut, Nora Fatehi, Arjun Bijlani, Ruhaanika Dhawan, and Spandan Chaturvedi.
According to Tellychakkar, judge Karan Johar and mentor Ganesh Hegde are likely to remain but as for a female judge, talks are going on with Bollywood divas like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez or Rekha.
As far as we’ve heard, new choreographs are being roped in. The previous choreographer like like Deepak Singh, Sneha Kapoor, Dheeraj Bakshi are currently exiting to make way for new one. Regarding changes in other formats, the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 producers recently said, “Interestingly, this time round each celeb contestant will have to throw in two fresh performances in a week. Reason being if a particular celeb performed during Saturday’s episode, and stayed on the bench on Sunday, his or her fans refrained from watching the show on a Sunday. They want to see their favourite celeb perform both the days. How they will manage to pull off such a task, is what the creatives will have to work on.”
