'Attack on Titan' Season 2

Although not officially confirmed, the storyline of season 2 is developed differently to that of the manga. The recent promo suggests that this season will focus on the many secrets regarding the Titans inside the wall and the origin of the wall.

According to rumours, the upcoming season will be based on the Clash of the Titans and Uprising story arcs from the manga. The original manga story may not be used in the season which is likely going to feature several elements from both the arcs adapted into the plot. Attack of Titans Season 2 Release Date

The official release date of the upcoming season is yet to be announced, but recent speculations suggest that season 2 will air in the first quarter of next year, i.e. 2017.

There has been a talk on adapting the season 2 into the game. To recall, in an interview producer Hisashi Koinuma said he supported the anime based video without the intention of straying away from its anime/manga version. “When we create an anime-based video game we, of course, think it through if it will be a fun game or not,” he said. “And once it kicks off then we implement the plan, and in that sense, it’s not terribly complicated [to adapt an anime]. But like many famous IPs, they have many many avid fans and things can get very sensitive and we are very conscious about that, so, in essence, it’s very difficult.”

There are reports in the next season Eren Jaeger will take a new Titan from and there’s a possibility of a new villain too. Of course, we don’t have supporting details on the claim. But fans are worried that, there’s a possibility of losing Levi or Mikasa from the scene.
